I hear horrible stories about service costs on AP watches. What about this is true? I hear service costs mostly from 2500 untill 4000 USD.. Just cant believe this...

I know with AP the service and refinish are priced separately so you need to add the 350chf for the finishing plus local local taxes on the overall price. |

And this is where bad rumors continue and why people believe this garbage. I have found APSC to be completely reasonable given the caliber. And I have never had a service cost this high, I own 5 AP's.

Like I said, I have never had an issue with APSC and been very pleased with their service/costs over the years. |

$1,000 to get papers reissued sounds pretty reasonable to me. Buy an A serial RO and only $1k to issue a nice book authenticating a vintage watch. Money well spent.

Not bad at all. It’s a positive I think the service and polishing are totally separate as you won’t end up getting a polish job that wasn’t wanted as per some other brands.

Paid $1100 including tax for a 3120 movement only service in June 2018. Came back in about 3 weeks and runs like a charm.

It depends. I would avoid going through an AD and try to send it direct to APSC.
In Canada, had an AD quote me $5000 CAD for fUll servicing. Sent it direct to Ottawa for almost half that price. |

My Bumblebee was about 1800 euro. Not cheap, but not too bad either.

What about RSC servicing a Tudor? AFAIK its the same price as a Rolex. One service is over 33% of the cost to buy a new one instead. Its not about the price to me, its about the cost to service an item relative to the overall cost of the watch. Paying a larger percentage of what it would cost to just buy a new watch instead is the real value argument when looking at the decision to service it. Kind of like with a car that gets into an accident... at what point is it considered "totaled" and you don't fix it

no first hand knowledge, but ive heard something to that effect. If its the case, that has to be one of the most expensive watches to service there is relative to its cost.
