That’s not a 2226 or 3126 inside ... several other things don’t look right.

Safari didn’t come on rubber. Are you sure that person is your friend?

Or worse still the friend might not even know!

Can’t imagine how finding out will go down either.

Older gen ROO's aren't that popular or AP worthy? I don't think they age that well, but besides that is there anything wrong with them?

When you do a side by side comparison she doesn’t look good, thanks for the help guys, saved me a lot of headache. As for him, I probably won’t say anything. Just too many problems to worry about. He has an extensive collection of watches so he might not even know. It’s always been more of a business friendship anyways, but this was going to be the most expensive watch I got from him, or anyone for that matter.

There is no way that is an AP movement. Not even close. Run.

Glad you found out before any potential sale. Kudos to those who spotted it before seeing the movement.

This one was tricky because these ROOs are not in production now but the fake tells are very obvious but now less known, more of a worry is a franken with a genuine dial and correct date placement. Maybe as he sent you a mvmnt pic, which is unusual, he didn't know himself.
