In this:

The watches are the cheaper items that reside in there too....

hopefully this doesn't violate the rules, but it's where I keep the others I'm not wearing.

and thats why everyone robs banks

i always take a few with me and the rest stay home in my safe.

Truthfully the bank doesnt bother me, its the coming and going from the bank. If i was a thief i would sit in front of a bank and follow people home who go in and out with a bag as putting things in a safe deposit box indicates you probably have a lot of stuff worth stealing. Narrows down the options of the hundreds of thousands of house choices.

Put all the valuables at the front door. Hopefully they just take it all and don't tear the house and/or toilet water tank apart

All this safe talk is hilarious. If they are insured, which they should be, why would you need a safe?

sometimes its a hassle to replace some watches. But generally, i agree.

Its funny because my UK insurance required a safe, but my US insurance doesnt. I can leave my door open and the watches in the window and they dont care. However if i don't have a monitored fire alarm so the fire department gets called if the smoke alarm goes off, they wont insure the watches. weird.

How do you enjoy it if it’s in a bank safe? Do you ever wear them?

Age with others. In house safe and long holidays bank safe.

Even though insured some pieces are almost impossible to replace.

My insurance company asks specifically if I keep my watches in a safe while not wearing it. If the answer is no, I either don't get the policy or my premium increases.

I leave mine on their winders when we're away. I live in a hi-rise apartment with 24/7 desk service. I doubt anyone is going to try to scale 12 stories up to break in to our place.

I insure my watches - but rather than go through the hassle of replacement, they go in the safety deposit box at the bank if I am not wearing them on vacation. As I recall the safety deposit box is not insured per se, so if the bank gets robbed so do you and if you don't have insurance...well. you are SOL... I just prefer to remember where they are than forgetting where I had hidden them!....Last time I hid something it took 3 weeks of frantic searching to find the bloody things again.... more and more senior moments these days!

For those who keep things in a bank....are you not worried about, especially with vintage, keeping them wound periodically ?

I hate going back and forth to the bank, so they stay in a safe at home.
Also depends where you live - If you live in a house, condo etc.
