I posted a few months back about my desire to get an AP and you were all very helpful steering me towards the 15400. So I called up the AP boutique and patiently waited for my new timepiece to be made. It arrived last week and I am enjoying my new piece!

I got lucky and have a crown with the AP logo lining up perfectly.

One question I had was what is expected for accuracy? It is currently losing about 6-7 seconds a day which seems a bit high. I set it a week ago and it is running now 35 seconds slow. My Omega in the same time period is only 2 seconds fast. Is this what you all have experienced on your pieces or am I already going to have to send it in?

Congrats! Mine runs somewhere between +15-17 secs/day and APSC was content with those numbers. I know a lot of AP owners with far better accuracy. 35 secs is a lot and would not seem to be within AP’s normal range.

Congratulations!

The 3120 movement is certainly capable of being very accurate. Give it some time to run in and then check again.

I’m sure AP will regulate if desired. Otherwise crown position can have an impact overnight too. Mine gains time with the dial down which may help to compensate for you too. I haven’t measured mine for ages but never seems to deviate much between reasons for me to change the time/ date etc. when I reset the time to a reference.

I would let it run for a while before I considered doing anything. For that variation which is not going to affect me being late or anything I would leave it alone. I am not a fan of having things taken apart unnecessarily.

I was a accuracy freak until a got a 15202, this watch cured me.
I love it so much a wear it all the time and since it had no second hand, no need to see how accurate it is. . .

Thank you! I am going to try to put it dial down each night to counteract it loosing time during the day. I have been putting it on its non-crown side at night or inside a watch winder turned off, perhaps this can be a fix!

Curious to see how it goes - presumably it will be a common affect across all like movements so interested to see what difference it makes.

So I did not wear my AP all weekend as I was wearing my omega while I was out. I left it Face down from Friday around 5pm until Monday morning (gave it about an hour in the wrist Saturday night to get some power).

Cool ! Yes good to follow up on it. Over the few times I recorded it i was consistently between 4-6s plus/minus depending on how long the night was
