New Pepsi vs Older Pepsi

I posted a picture last week of new Pepsi.
Thought you’d want to see the difference in the colors. The fact that one of them is approaching 20yrs old & the others bezel is ceramic may have something to do with it.

I am digging the 5 digit.
The color on the 5 digit bezel pops way more than the new one.

Congrats on both Pepsi.

Ignoring the better movement and power reserve, if I’m just going off the watches on your wrist in that picture, the older GMT Master II is a clear winner and would be my choice.

By the way, my OCD thought the crown was too close to the case of the newer watch. Scratches!

Thanks for sharing.

Nothing beats the 16710 Pepsi. In fact for the new Ceramic one, I way prefer the BLNR over the BLRO.

Nice duo. The icon, and the modern interpretation of the icon. For me...the icon!

Very nice. I have 2 16700s and a 16710 and love them. I can't wait to get my hands on the new 126710blro.

I don’t recall a picture of them side by side on a wrist like that (maybe I missed it if someone shared earlier) but it’s a really cool pic. Thanks for sharing

Side by side pic is great! Love the older Pepsi for sure.

I think the jubilee makes the BLRO look a bit older IMO compared to the older Pepsi which stands out a bit more.

Neat to see them side by side like that.

I was never a big enough fan of the 5 digit GMT II models to buy one. I picked up a GMT Master II C right when the stainless models became available over a decade ago. I absolutely love the new Pepsi GMT with the Jubilee bracelet. That's the only watch I'm wanting right now.

I’ve always loved the 5 digit Pepsi for as long as I can remember but I’m going to go against the grain here and say the 126710 is the standout winner. Proportionately it looks fantastic, the jubilee looks gorgeous and the colours actually look nicely understated.

Just wish I had one!

Glad I am not alone. I fear being hanged, drawn, and quartered for saying this but I prefer the new 6 digit model. Even after all the Basel announcement hype has settled down, I still think the jubilee on this watch is a home-run and a pleasant change/alternative to the current SS professional line-up.

My 16710 is my favorite or my daily as I’ve heard it referred to on this forum. Just just bought a Coke. It’s at shop being cleaned up & oiled as we type. Rootbeer is next.

Stand in line. I waited several months then paid retail.

I’m clearly biased as I have the new Pepsi! However the 5 digit is beautiful!
With my 7.6” wrist I like the fact that the new Pepsi wears bigger!

Wow, same wrist, same lighting, same angle clearly shows the 5-digit red and blue colors as the clear winner.

I wonder if Rolex will be releasing a "true color" Pepsi at some point (and anger many of the BLRO owners in the process).

Older. Smaller lugs, oyster bracelet, better looking overall.

Great set!

I will see your 20yr old and raise you 10! 16750 circa 1988. I do like the new BLRO but nothing will replace my original GMT.

Great pic!! The 5 digit has its charm but every improvement of the new 6 digit piece blows it away for me. The new bezel colors although not as bright and vibrant have a deep rich look to them in person. Congrats to you! That is a great pair...
