Anyone seeing more SS in the windows?

I could be wrong but in my opinion more SS are appearing in the cases of the AD's in the past few weeks. BLRO and Daytona are rare but apart from those models I feel there is a shift change happening where there may be an easing of supply on the other SS models e.g. today an 114060 was in the window for the first time in many months in Barcelona. Explorer 2's are not hard to come by. Ex 1 is a given and anyone can have an AK or an MIL'G. Anyone else seeling any change of late?

I havent been to an AD in a while now but I do talk to gray dealers on a weekly basis. They are seeing a slowdown in sales compared to 6-12 months ago when it was crazy across all references. Especially all the so called hot SS watches they are moving much much slower now.

I just think the hype is slowing now and the word is out on the ADs flipping directly to grays which has become quite general knowledge now so maybe AD's are trying to curb that because many eyes are now watching.

Lets see.

I guess you got lucky to see a 114060...

Visited two ADs last week, one in Halifax, NS and here in Montreal. The Halifax AD had two explorers in the case but there was absolutely nothing in Montreal.

I was recently told that end of year allotments have been hitting ADs before Rolex shuts down. Could be a good time to visit the AD and see if you can get them to crack the safe....

I've been seeing more SS at the AD since summer. The AD says the craziness is over on SD and most SS models. Daytona will always be rare, but inventories will be more "normal" in the coming months.

I felt like inventory looked better recently, but really its so hard to tell. All of us are still lusting after that Daytona, so we're not there yet! haha.

Anecdotally I feel like we’ve seen a lot of incomings in the short-term and there seems to be a bit more SS inventory. Likely holiday shipments arriving

I estimate that about 15% of the slots in my AD's Rolex cases are occupied; the rest are empty. I find little reason to visit my Rolex AD any more. The Omega boutique in the same mall is much more interesting because it actually has watches to look at and try on. The novelty of empty Rolex cases has worn off to the point that I'm starting to focus on other brands. I'm tired of the suggestion that my Rolex AD is honoring me by allowing me to buy from them. I don't subscribe to the theory that I need a particular watch just because it's hard to find.

Not here - at least for my nearby AD.

I also visited an AD in Buckhead, a suburb of ATL, and only a couple of YM-II’s. Nothing else in SS. Manager said they have a long list of clients (for some models, several dozen deep). For every model you can name someone is waiting - so nothing will go into the showcase for years to come.

Our leading indicators locally show some slowing growth in high-end Real Estate, Business Development and Income. Financially speaking, a Rolex is still within most buyers’ ability to make the CC monthly payments to own one.

Just saw a Sub, Sub Date, blk GMT and several Sea Dwellers sitting together. The AD was surprised they hadn't sold.

You consider seeing Air Kings and some Milgausses an easing of supply??

I made a point about this a few weeks ago. I’ve seen all the models you’ve referred to at my local AD apart from the Sub.

I was at a mall AD in a suburb of NYC this afternoon and the salesman noted that Rolex will not be shipping any more watches for the year so he is selling what he has at MSRP and that's it. He also noted that he has a three year waiting list on the Batman (there I said BATMAN for all you BLNR folk!!), I almost laughed at him when he said three years with a straight face.

The only thing my AD has had (in the cases) in the past 3 weeks is the Milgauss with green crystal.

I’m surprised you saw a 114060 as in my experience it was much harder to get than the Date Sub. That’ll be a lucky pick up for someone. However I go to the USA periodically and have turned down an SD43, White SkyD and Black SkyD on previous trips.

I do however see at UK ADs ; Milgauss, EXP1, EXP2, YM, AK, Black Deepsea randomly pop up in windows.

It’s the BLNR/HULK/Pepsi/Daytona/SD43/steel subs/JC Deepsea that are the challenges to find these days.

I was in a city with an AD this past Wednesday. I stopped in to see if they had a Black Bay 58. No dice. They did have a 116610LN, 116613LB, 116613LN, and a 216470 sitting in the case waiting to be bought.

Yesterday. Tourneau - Worth Avenue, Palm Beach. You could have any Rolex you want as long as it's a DateJust.

One sport piece - 37mm YM. Sad.
