I agree with this. The 4K is an easy watch to find so I wouldn’t let the discontinuation sway my decision to add cash. I’d do the trade straight up if your TT just sits in the safe. The furthest I’d go with adding anything is maybe shipping/insurance for both watches, but that’s only if the deal was about to go through. I wouldn’t cut off my nose to spite my own face for a watch that just sits in my safe, but that’s as far as I’d go.
