How do you have 10k budget set for something unknown you don't even know you want to buy? You are the definition of how advertising works. Basically saying shut up and take my money to the rolex AD.

I’d buy a 214270 and pocket the change.

If you can stretch the budget a bit, you can get a gold strap model daytona. I think the Gold/Leather works really well right now and looks really professional. 16518 "Zenith" 16519 (wg) 116518 Rolex Movement and 116519 wg Rolex Movement.

These are really cool watches with tons of variability and access to the beautiful Rolex leather bands.

IMHO they are the best value right now in Rolex. SS Sport Models are great, I like the 182xx day dates as well at that price.

Some variant of the GMT or Sub seems like the safe way to go... really hard to say because If i was set on spending X amount of dollars on Rolex only, I'd have to head into an AD, or a grey these days, and figure out what I really like first. Sooooo many options.

It’s your watch. I highly recommend heading to an AD to see what pulls you in. If it’s more than $10k, then put that money aside and save up the rest so you can get what you truly want. I’ve had more expensive watches and made the mistake of purchasing because other people told me what I should own. Realized after many 1000’s of dollars that I should have just purchased what I loved so I sold all my other watches and I’m at my current two watch collection.
