New from AD- good luck anywhere in the world right now!!
Grey market- sure you can get one, but you’ll pay for it! Have you a specific watch in mind that you’d like?

If you ask an AD for 'any steel sports Rolex' it will get their backs up. It is the single best way to sound like you are a flipper. I am not suggesting you are one, just that this is how to sound like one.
Focus on the one you want and ask only for that, it may still be difficult but you will at least be taken more genuinely than by the former method. |

Over the past couple of days I’ve seen an Air King, a blue dial YM, an Explorer and an Explorer2. Lots of SS DJ41s in various configurations. And hundreds of TT
Oh, and tried on a BB58 too

I got a call from a London AD who I purchased my Yacht-Master from asking if I wanted a Daytona earlier this week. He was shocked when I declined. When he asked why I told him I don't like the design and he kept repeating how sought after they are. I told him I don't care- I don't like them!
They are out there if you get in with the right AD.

What a sad state of affairs when grown men are begging for the privilege of being allowed to buy a watch.

You really tortured me with this post, I am hunting a Daytona for almost 2 years with no luck despite my spend history with some of the ADs and despite my willingness to negotiate a bundle deal. Anyway, you're much stronger than me |

The clue for the AD is in this thread from when I purchased my last Rolex: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=503308 I think maybe try some reverse psychology- it seems to have worked for me!

With some shopping around you could likely find EXP1, EXP2, Milgauss, AK, YM etc If you’re after Blnr, HULK, Pepsi (even black steel sub/ND) etc, not many people can help you with that one and you’ll need to start buying from an AD (other pieces) and become a good customer first |
