Discount on rolex watch at osterman's....
Happened to stop at Osterman's in the Rosedale Mall, Roseville, Mn. about 2 weeks ago. The salesman specifically mentioned that all Rolex watches are sold at full MSRP prices and that they would lose the Rolex franchise for any discounting activity. Also, no trade ins allowed, not even Rolex or other high end brands.
Ben Bridge, located one floor down, right underneath Osterman's, will take a Rolex trade in (approved by a district manager) depending on the Rolex watch being purchased. The trade value cannot exceed 1/3 the price of the new Rolex. Didn't get around to asking if they "discount" anything from MSRP on a straight purchase, does appear that a serious buyer could get something off the top. So here is the "interesting" situation of 2 AD's, selling the same high end luxury product within shouting distance of each other and apparently "maintaining" MSRP pricing in a sea of other buying opportunities awaiting the current educated Rolex potential purchaser. I don't see how they pay their Mall overhead these days! |

Every AD will discount, including Ben Bridge....but 2 weeks before Christmas is not the time to wheel & deal, now go in to those same AD's and I bet they will be singing a different song.

We got what I think is a very good deal from our local AD. 25% off MSRP. As for trade-ins, if you have a watch that is within 5 years old, our guy will give you 66% of the current cost of that same model watch on trade in.
