Rolex went all-in on the GMT in 2018. I would be surprised if they did anything more than updating the whole line to 3285.

Sub updates seem reasonable. I’m not convinced Rolex will stick with the old PM->TT->SS model that they’ve used in the past. I wouldn’t be shocked if SS got the first round of updates.

My dark horse is an ExpII with black cerachrome bezel with a radial brushed finish. I think there was a mock-up someone did of this on RPR or somewhere. It looked great.

Except it’s a caving watch and rock+ceramic=expensive..... not to mention the last thing we need is yet another ceramic sports model. It’s not appropriate for the Exp 2 or YM. Their bezels are part of their DNA.

I agree with you about the Exp. II. I also prefer platinum-bezel YMs, but Rolex has already crossed that bridge and offered ceramic-bezel versions of that model.

Rolex always respects tradition until they don’t.

Surprised no one mentioned the DD 36 for an upgrade... seems long overdue. New movement, ceramic pins etc

Although its not a sports model so maybe that's why it isn't mentioned

If I had to bet on a 2019 release, this would be my bet. The 36 is a viable size for many and likely still sells well in the Asian markets.
It’s also where I would probably spend my $$, even though I’ve got a good sized wrist. There seems to, finally, be a little backlash against the bigger and flashier is better movement.

I think you will see changes to the 36mm day date but only the new movement and dial options, it’s still a fantastic watch, the 40mm model in my opinion doesn’t look as good in the flesh, 38mm would work and I think they should have a try in the future.

New movements might go into some existing GMT models but I don’t see them doing another all new version a year after the BLRO. Submariner could be due for an “all new” version, but would it be PM first or all versions drop at once?
Something completely different a la Skydweller?

I don't think we'll see a ss dd anytime soon.. they sure will set the market on fire but they will most definitely kill the dj line and that's the last thing rolex would want

Yes, it'd be nice to see a DJ with the new 3235 calibre.

Extending the movement update to existing lines.

Utopia: Day-Date in stainless steel. Not going to happen but that would be a-never-seen-before hit. Imagine a SS DD with the green anniversary dial... damn!

SS DD will risk having wannabees pairing it with a fake president's bracelet to pass it off as a PM DD.

Let's hear some serious Baselworld 2019 Rolex predictions

WG or SS YM with Black ceramic bezel.

Yes please.

Hopefully they only produce one then, so that I don’t have to find a chunk load of cash again this year!

That’s the same reason I pray that it’s SS, and not WG, if they do it.

I heard from a very reputable source that since they cannot keep up with the SS professional demand, they will be offering a Rolex digital watch.
