Icon20 The Triple Gold Club (WG, YG & RG)

Tonight, I finally fulfilled my dream of acquiring all three gold colored Rolexes.

A little history of how I caught the Rolex Bug. As a kid, my dad always had a SS 36mm DayJust, white dial (circa early 80's). I never really cared for it as a kid, but it was given to me when I was in my early twenties. By the time I was in college, I had caught the rolex bug after I wore it to a party and people recognized it (which I didn't expect college kids to do). That same watch that was handed down to me was never serviced, so it had died and I was not very knowledgeable with how servicing works at the time (this was when the internet was in it's infancy and information wasn't so easily assessable). So, I was dumb enough to walk into a Tourneau store to trade it in and got ripped off (I traded a Rolex in for a Quartz Tag Link).

So, fast forward more than 15 years later, I picked up 4 SS Rolex new at an AD (2 DayJust II, one in SS and the other in 2-tone), a black Sub with date (ceramic dial) and White Daytona (Steel Bezel). At that time, I wanted to get a gold watch but felt that I wanted more variety and purchased multiple SS instead of a single gold watch.

Well, 6 more years went by and I finally realized my dream of getting gold watches. Here are the pics of my DayDate 40mm in both YG and WG that I purchased in Dec-18 and then a Everose Gold GMT Master II with the black and brown dial).

I am so excited about my upgraded collection and sharing some pics.

Wonderful choices in both sets of three. Especially like the CHNRs.

Beautiful watches. I almost got the smurf, but decided to go with the GMT II in Everose instead. Your collection looks great!

Geez some beauties right there.

Perfect example of how quality far outweighs quantity.

Enjoy your big boys toys - you made the right choices my friend.
