Sad....

So, how many people buy watches internationally and are constantly checking the tracking number to see if there’s any Updates in the location? I have two recent watches that I purchased, one from Australia and one from South Korea and its literally killing me. These watches aren’t the most spectacular or amazing watches, but they are incredibly happy finds for me and so basically I’m just saying I want them now! But honestly I’m quite excited to receive them and just needed to let it out or something. And I’ll come back here when I’ve received them to do some proper wrist shots and what not. A couple of hints to what they are is, they are both considered vintage, one Japanese and one Swiss and they are both related to a couple of watches I already own.

My collection consists of
16220 Datejust
Grand Seiko SBGC205G chrono
Girard Perregaux laureato
Pam 609
Zenith Defy Classic

Guess away.

K gonna revisit this post with the pictures. Just got the second one In today from Australia.

But first I got this one a week or so ago from South Korea.

A King Seiko 5626 gold capped. I put it on a black Hirsch alligator strap and looks much better with a buckle that matches the gold tone. I really like this watch for its comfort. It fits like a glove and is gonna be my go to dress watch for now.

The other watch I got was a sweet find on eBay. It’s a NOS Girard-Perregaux Laureato 8010. The 90’s version which got an automatic movement for the first time.

I have the newer blue dial Laureato which is 42mm. This bracelet on the 8010 is really cool. The center links on the this one have way more character than the newer version. They’re more cushion shaped and the

Always been a GP fan. I've also been a Laureato fan and knew the old bracelet was interesting-- hadn't noticed the change with the new version.

I know. I actually wish the newer bracelet had the same center links. I’ve been really liking the 90’s version. I called GP service center and was told I could actually change out the Roman numerals dial with the more traditional clous de Paris dial. So I’m thinking about that.

They are fantastic watches. The laureato is a great steel sports watch. I’ve sort of become enamored with theme

In an enthralling board meeting in a hotel in downtown Austin Tx , just admiring the brown tones of the carpet, and my new to me Laureato. This watch has some brown patina on the dial to go with the carpet.

I feel your pain. I'm still waiting for a watch I ordered from London that was shipped out early December. It's been awaiting customs clearance for over a week now. Hoping it arrives before I leave for vacation next week.

I'm glad you finally received yours, congratulations!

It was definitely welcomed when I got them. You know what’s funny is that I bought my wife a steel King seiko from Japan and paid $20 for shipping thinking it would take a month and it got to me in 3 days...it was crazy.
