My AD reiterated to me several times that they had a ‘no returns’ policy while I was making my purchase.

Not sure whether this is normal.

I don’t know.

But I took the question as one that could be asked just the same way it was whether you are a buyer, or if you worked at an AD.

No. If it was fine in the store and then something happens, it’s covered by the Rolex warranty. End of story.

Would you want to buy one someone took home for a while and then returned?

Yes you should be able to return under the correct and ethical circumstances.

I am sure they will be happy to take it back as long as it is in the same condition it was when they gave it to you, stickers, etc.
This question has come up before, and no, it’s not as simple as returning it unworn. Consumer rights and retailer terms vary from country to country and in the UK, seemingly from AD to AD.

More recently, AD’s are package selling watches. You have to buy a model that’s not as desirable and they they will sell you the sports SS that you actually want as a bundle.

Someone asked about this the other day where they were going to package-buy and then return one of the pieces.

Nope.No stickers on ..I wont buy .
Display models are packed away and out daily.Sales people and potential customers don't care how they handle it ..bang it everywhere .
They show me a watch,I treat it like someone still needs to buy it ,even if its not me .

I'm glad I don't live in America... your sales and even your attitudes towards returns is very different to Europe and the UK where I have lived. I'm not insulting, merely commenting on the difference. It is quite different. Like all things, I think you get use to where you live and the rules you are under. Anywhere it else it seems alien...

Sure is interesting though :)

I know it sounds like a horrible place but if you are somehow ever forced to live in the USA I believe you will eventually adjust to our backward ways.

I'm sure I would. I was born in the UK and have lived in Germany for quite sometime (German family) so I've gotten use to strange customs a few times already.
However, an autobahn near me is completely unrestricted... travelling to work @ 160-200 KPH is something I would miss! And even faster when it's quiet. It is quite enjoyable to have a performance car here.

I have lived extensively is the UK and USA. Not to slight either country but, in my humble view, the US is by far the better place to live. I’m not sure about Rolex return policies but, most places I shop allow returns of anything here in the US.

Yes, the home of automotive excellence, Germany, is a pleasurable place to drive cars. The UK seems to have turned into a police state...cctv...cops everywhere...very sad overall attitude...its a shame and, a far cry from the country I knew in the 70s and 80s
