Warranty card

I’ve recently purchased a Rolex Explorer 214270 MK1 that was originally retailed in Italy by retailer La Montre S.R.L in 2015.

My question is that on the reverse of the card where the customers name would usually be there are just two dashes, some friends have told me that this could’ve come from the grey market which does sound feasible. I’ve done a bit of research and La Montre SRL isn’t on the Rolex website as an AD but they seem to sell some high end stuff which they’ve stamped the warranty cards for maybe they lost their Rolex AD status?

The watch also has an interesting history, apparently it was purchased by an actual Explorer who actually used the watch on expeditions and this watch has the battle scars which don’t actually bother me because it means I can add more without the worry. Anyhow this particular person is getting divorced and sold his watch to a dealer in London to cover his divorce costs. If anyone has any idea of who this may be I’d be interested to know.

The slashes are there because they are not supposed to leave the space blank, and some people might not want their name on the card, for whatever reason. No idea about the other stuff.
