Arabic numbers on CODE 11.59

Hodinkee said the CODE 11.59 Arabic numerals were drawn from a minute repeater in the company archives that dates to the 1940s. Wanted to share a pic of a 1951 AP minute repeater where the CODE 11.59 got its inspiration from.

Thanks for sharing. Actually quite like that piece. Too bad they couldn’t could have pulled some more inspiration from the original.

hmmm...that looks really good but I like the Code minute repeater as well. The base model is what looks off to me.

and a nice hammer price!

Is it off b/c too much negative space on the base model while the minute repeater has a contrasting color on the small font minute indicator in addition to the sub second dial?
