Help identify AP model/ref.

Hi.
Hope someone in this AP community can help.
A friend of mine has bought an AP watch, and I'm afraid he has bought a fake.
I haven’t been able to find the model/ref online.
Here’s a picture of the watch.

It looks like an AP Diver tho I've not seen one with a chronograph function...I'm not expert, however.

Yikes. I'm not 100% but think it's fake.

The Royal Oak Offshore Diver Chronograph is ref. 26703ST.

I don't think they ever make a black dial version though ...

I am by no means an expert but I think this is a fake... I did some quick searching and I could only find the color dials for Offshore Diver Chronos on AP site. The only other time I found anything that resembled a black dial offshore diver was at a replica site.

Garbage, never seen this one before and very stupid considering the Diver is just about the best faked watch of all.

That's ugly fake... sadly for AP the superfakes Divers can't be recognized from the pics from the real ones...

Of course not... at the end of the day it is not the same movement... but how far they got with the 42s (safari, panda) 15400, and Diver, it is hard to tell which one is real or fake even photographed one beside other...

I ask because of the separate thread earlier today with what is a clearly fake 3120 movement in another diver. Not just the finishing, but the total layout is off.

Have they successfully replicated the movement architecture now even ? As that is a very easy give away.

Totally right that the visual similarities of cases etc. across many brands seems to be alarmingly convincing.

The finishing on the rotor and movement is still a problem and they prefer closed casebacks... I visit such sites once in a half year because it give me headaches what level of detail they can produce, sell and make money for 400-500$...

Fakes cost 400 to 500? You can get a decent real watch for that.

Fake. Reason being if you look at the left sub-dial the counters are 20-40-60. AP diver chrono's since launch have had only 10-20-30 min counters. Also depth rating and auto sign on bottom are just horrible and simple stamped on.

Of course in our WIS world... in their world they got for 400-500 a watch that looks like a 30.000$ watch.
