Swap Deal

Good morning, I am after some advise/what would you do.

Would you swap RG DD40 olive dial for GMT Batman & Sub Hulk?

Thanks for the help

I would NEVER do that swap especially in this Rolex climate where all SS are way way overpriced.

Why would you want to downgrade that watch? DD40 is the top shelf Rolex.

Absolutely no way. That particular anniversary DD is one of the more sought after PM pieces and are holding their money very well. The two SS are very nice in their own right but are waaaay overpriced in my opinion and not in the same league.

I consolidated my steels and went PM. I've owned both those SS and I would definitely not do it.

What’s the deal exactly? Straight trade, what’s thes the condition, etc?

Listen I’d never say no if you own a watch that doesn’t sing to you anymore. But you just have to make sure the moneys right.

Depends on what you want! The fact that SS is overpriced is nonsense. Market makes the price. If all the SS models are overpriced means that people do love the SS Rolex. So in the end, you know better if you still love the rose gold or you want 2 SS watches.

Of course its nonsense. They are both current production models with RRP well below where grey dealers are selling them. Now if they were no longer available and supply was limited to only those in current circulation then the laws of demand and supply determine the 'price' and even then its completely subjective as to whether someone will deem it as too expensive or not.

Nope! I would never recommend this proposed swap!

Don’t give in to the insanity of the current SS grey/used market.

I wouldn't. That is one of if not the best looking DD going. If you did it I would surely hope you have money coming back your way.

Absolutely love the LV and the BLNR but if I was in your shoes I wouldn't do it. Keep the PM.

Nope. Don't care for either the LV or the BLNR, don't care what they "go for."

If it is a straight trade then the money is wrong. You should get back between 3-5k and the seller will still make money. If dealing with a TS have them add a Omega Speedy to the deal or another watch that interests you in the 3k range. If you do not wear the DD and it does not feel special then move on to something that has a chance to be a watch you do like enough to keep. Good luck.

Accumulate gold, don’t ditch it. I’d do the reverse trade.

Unless you really dislike your dd40 don’t do it. First thing the dd40 is worth more . 2nd eventually the market will change the 2 you trade for won’t be worth as much but the dd40 will still hold strong
