What does wearing your Rolex do to your self confidence

we all have our good days and bad days. But when you wear your Rolex does that give you that extra boost to takeover the day with confidence and kill it?? I know for me personally every time I look down at my wrist it reminds me what it’s like to crush it. What about you?

It used to do something but the last few days I've forgotten to even wear a watch when popping out to the shops...

For self confidence....nothing.
When not wearing a watch, my arm feels naked, as if I forgot to put on pants or wedding ring...That’s about it.
Although for me, putting on a Rolex is like comfort food, VS putting on any other brand.

Makes me feel very sexy! I sing a slightly different version of the song by Right Said Fred: I’m too sexy for my Rolex!

You should not need a watch to give you self confidence.

People should love watches and horology because of the effort it takes to make a watch, the attention to detail, the historical significance, the sentiment of being able to pass something down for generations. Not because a Rolex makes them "be crushin it'. lame.

Nothing.

A happy wife of 36 years and 3 kids that love us are enough to feed my self confidence.

The joy (not confidence) I get in my Tudor Submariner (after flipping 3 Rolex watches) is the same as I get from my Wayfarers and Bosco leather briefcase and nice writing insturments.....I just like them.

Coffee helps me conquer the day more than my Rolex does.

I definitely love looking at it on my wrist, but it does nada for my self-confidence.

I agree, however I said extra boost. It’s no different than getting a great haircut to feel confident or pressing your shirts. Everything in our modern world is somewhat materialistic. We’re all here because we have a small accomplishment in being able to afford a luxury item like a Rolex . Everyone who says they don’t have a Rolex because it brings them some sort of happiness is a lie. Might as well wear nothing since time is of the essence. Live life happy because it’s short blah blah. I guess I’m still in the honeymoon phase of my purchase.

Why anyone would think by wearing a watch and a Rolex is just a watch, yes its a expensive watch would boost there self confidence defeats me.

exactly, anyone that needs material things to boost their ego is pretty shallow in my book.

When I look at any of my watches I think of my grandfather, a watchmaker, that gave me the interest in timepieces and so many other valuable lessons in life.

I equate having a nice Rolex watch similar to having a nice car.
It’s nice to be different and to show that you are.
Let’s all be honest who read this forum.
Who wants to be like Tom, Dick or Harry with their mediocre watches and mediocre cars?
I say, if you can afford it, flaunt it!

Do not need to wear a Rolex to gain confidence. But wearing a Rolex gives me the satisfaction of knowing I have one of the best mechanical watches in the world that I worked hard for, so that I could both afford it and deserve it.

Nothing.

When things are hectic during the day it's nice to look at it and bring a little sense of calm and enjoyment as well as remind me that my job is my livelihood and not my life.

If I'm wearing my grandfather's 1967 5513 Sub then looking at it makes me smile and remember the old days with him and going fishing, and looking forward to that first Spring day for striped bass in 2019.

My confidence comes from a girlfriend 20 years my junior who rocks a bikini like nobody's business

The watch makes me feel good, like any watch I have chosen to buy and wear. for me, it has 0 to do with self-confidence. My self-confidence comes from the belief I have in myself on a number of different levels.

I enjoy wearing my watches. It reminds me of the hard work needed to acquire these adult toys.

Boosting self confidence? Of course it does.

“If you lack self confidence, you would be wearing a Rolex.”

Paying $10k to buy self confidence is a bargain in my book.

To each their own. Its not my job to judge others for what they do/believe in... Although, at times, it may make me shake my head.

Over the years, Ive gotten into watches for the reason that I am a bit of a closet nerd. I enjoy the craftsmanship, technology, intricacies and subtle/not-so subtle improvements in the previously mentioned. I enjoy watches for many of the same reasons that I enjoy vintage/classic motorcycles and wine. There is endless amounts of information out there about these things and they give me something to learn, appreciate and talk about.

My accomplishments are private and I often times choose to keep them that way because I only work hard for myself and the people that are close to me. People at times will notice my watches and comment on them. I am always happy to talk about them when I can tell the other person is someone who appreciates them in a similar way that I do but will give a simple "thank you" if I can tell otherwise.
