Icon5 Requesting a second set of eyes on a 14060M

I recently picked up a 14060M and would really appreciate a second set of eyes to confirm it checks out. Since I'm still a newbie, I posted the high-res images in a public folder in my google drive (here). If you need additional pics to weigh in, just let me know.

Going to need more pics, specifically the dial. From first glance though it’s way over polished and the brushed finish is off.

Nice watch. It might have had a polish. It doesn't looks quite as crisp on the edges and lugs as the one I bought which was basically unworn. But it might just be the pictures/lighting. Mine is a crappy cell phone pic which makes things look harsh.

Thanks for the quick replies. I uploaded ~10 more dial and lug pics. I opened the crown for reference too.

It is very shiny! Looks like it is in relatively good condition, except for the over polish!

Your watch looks nice. Every time a post like this comes up people will say "over polished"....fyi. Enjoy it and congrats!

But I will advise it's better to get a second set of eyes before you purchase.

Keep in mind, no actual legitimate authentication source would verify it is authentic solely based on pictures.

I'm not certain about over polished but certainly it doesn't look like it has the correct finish.

Congrats. Looks like a perfectly ok Subby to me. Bear in mind that you're asking the most anal group of watch heads on the internet to analyse your watch.

Its very shiny. As for confirming its authentic, I'm no expert and IMHO the only place to confirm 100% is RSC.

Thanks all for the input. The pictures do make the polish look off, but it's far better in person. I picked it up from a fairly well-regarded dealer after a ton of research and shopping. It actually came with fairly recent RSC paperwork, but I didn't want to mention that in the OP and effect independent opinion. Also, FWIW, it has a 30-day no-questions-asked full-refund return policy, and I plan to visit the NYC RSC for a "resizing" in the window. Again, thanks!

Heavily polished. I never understood why people have their watches polished. Rolex is like a pair of Sebago Docksides: they look best with heavy duty wear and tear.

At least it’s not got any sharp edges now!!

Would make it “safe” for those worriers on here!

No way. Finish is all wrong and it only resembles a sub at this point.

Not being rude but you post asking for opinions and say that you’ve put high resolution images. Then when people start to give you opinions you don’t like, you defend the watch and state that the images aren’t an accurate representation. I know you probably aren’t intending this, but it’s kind of a weird approach, don’t you think? If you’re confident in what you bought, don’t ask.

It's original BUT it has been overpolished a little bit. The bevels are pretty much gone. This is fine if you got a good price, but if you overpaid then you could've done better. But you're going to wear it and it's not a rare watch that has to be kept in immaculate condition so none of this matters that much.
