Watches bring all kinds of memories. Good or bad but even if its how you felt after buying, who who were with etc.

There are a host of little items that stick in the grey cells

See if you can hunt them out and share them with the forum

I'will start it off with an easy one,most likely shared by a few.

When I had paid for it I thought 'how much' and wanted to give it back but common sense prevailed and I still have my first watch.

Now lets hear some of yours

yah i know what you meant by that its like a guilt response after buying something expensive.i hope you are not guilty anymore.hahaha.well we should always make sure we have the right resources before getting some luxury items.well rolex has the best resale value among the brands so we are bit safe there.its a personal TROPHY dude for something nice we did.thats the way i look at it....

You know you're absolutely right about the guilt thing, when I got my Daytona, even thought I had coveted it for so long, even thought I got it at MSRP when it was a time I could have sold it for a huge profit on the gray market, even though I (almost) paid for it by selling my old Rolex, I had guilt-panic attacks for almost a month! I guess that's kind of normal with a high-ticket item like a Rolex to somone in the middle-class bracket. It was the strangest thing, I was so excited about getting my Daytona but at the same time thought: "I don't deserve a watch that cost this much!" Ok, I have to get back and see my analyst now....

hahahaha wow thats long 1 month guilt panic attacks!?well at least you can always justify the purchased you made.dont worry dude rolex is something of value.what you got there is not a lemon.rolex is better than bad vices after all.like what i said its a "PERSONAL TROPHY"enjoy your watches dude!nice one paul.

Totally agree with you on the panic attack and guilt trip. It still comes around every time an addition is made.

Seems we are the only ones who look upon it like that!

All different memories have to be there for the people who have looked but not posted!

Favoutite song in the background, celebration meal, unexpected buy or present.

Anything related to any watch.

I'll add another - I can remember in the early 1980's wanting a Buler with analogue and quartz display real bad. It was advertised in the Sunday paper mag. Anyway my Dad said he would buy it even though I knew it was a fair bit of money for him

When it arrived I couldn't work out how all the functions worked there were so many. I wore it into the ground, nightclubs, night out, and still wish I had it.
