I think the market for a daytona in Asia is still quite hot. I don't think u'll find one there cheaper than here. Like Oscar said, there is one in the forum for $8500 and another one by ponycar350 for $9000.

Are you looking for new or used? I think HK would be a better place for both.

hi ther hwaai333,

yah your right. if you have the ready sources right now get brand new one already.its always better sporting something in your wrist and you know you are the first one who use it.no worries etc, well thats for me.i believed the black dial commands bit more premium than the white dial.i think 10k us dollars is a safe budget for new one.get it if you have the chance. i myself just got 5 days ago new one as well ss daytona black dial, im enjoying it my very first daytona and my fifth rolex.believe me more rolex lovers still seeking that daytona art.yah you are right btw last october i was in hk no available ss daytona among the AD.they have the yg daytona only.

I've NEVER seen a SS Daytona (black or white dial) available in the Rolex HK store or Rolex AD in Hong Kong. The YG/SS, YG and WG are plentiful here though.

Over the years, I've put my name on several Rolex AD waiting lists including the one in the Rolex flagship store but am still waiting for a call to this day.

I've always suspected that due to the lucrative market for new SS Daytonas, that people on the inside have cut in line.

You would have better luck to pickup a new SS from the smaller watch dealers in HK that specialise in high-end, hard to find pieces.

I just bought mine a few days ago for a very fair price and paid approx 7% on top of the HK MSRP which is currently HKD69,980.00.

I can give you the contact if you want so let me know.
