So far 5 ADS
I have been trying to get a BLNR. I think getting a date with scarlett johansson is going to be easier than getting this watch! Anyway at least 5 Ads have told me the BLNR is getting discontinued after March. I am gutted

I'd prefer that date with Johansson if that's an option.

I’d consider another model eg Datejust or maybe go grey for your BLNR? If it’s discintinued it’ll get even more expensive |

I am definitely not a VIP it so annoying on eBay somebody got one from Goldsmiths this year and is now selling it they should give it to people who wear it. Unfortunately my budget doesn’t go up to what the grey market is asking. Yes maybe I should go for another model.

Why are you “gutted”?
You can have one tomorrow BNIB from a dozen gray market dealers.

I doubt that it will be discontinued but keep trying to find it if you really want it.

It's just a watch. Think about it. It's just a watch. Anyone who feels "gutted" by a situation like this should have a lot of things in life to be grateful for if something as trivial as this makes you feel this way. Focus on what you have, not what you don't.

Yes 100 percent true I will keep looking maybe gutted is a strong word more like ahh come on I didn’t think it would be so tough to just get on a waiting list lol. It does seem tougher in the UK though with these watches

You're not going to get it through an AD any time soon, if ever. It's the secondary market or nothing.
That said, it's very unlikely that the BLNR is fully discontinued. The current model appears to be, but a new model with the updated movement seems very likely, either announced at Basel or just quietly appearing at some point. And, as lovely as the watch is, it's just a regular steel GMT with some blue (and minus a hint of green). You can have an amazing watch that's 95% the same any time you want. |

Can someone please explain to me what is so special about the BLNR? Is is that the color combination is super fascinating? Not trying to be an ass, but a lot of this hype is about herd mentality and wanting something that is not available. As someone mentioned above, it's just a regular steel GMT with some blue.

Over here we emphasis the lust of materialistic things as a sign of happiness but...Once you accept the fact that you're not a VVIP customer and you ain't getting that watch from your AD at MSRP you will feel much better. But there was a guy here claimed to buy a SS BLRO as a first time buyer from a well known AD in UK so luck does happen.
Why not buy an used one from one the trusted sellers here and move on. Good luck! |

More generally, when there are two very similar watches and you like one even a little more than the other, getting the second watch just feels like a consolation prize. The same mentality drives the prices of ceramic Daytonas when steel versions are casually available for much less -- when you know the watch you want more is out there, even the amazing second choice just feels a lot like a second choice. To be clear, though, anyone who likes the LN and BLNR equally should absolutely get the LN. It's a fantastic watch. But I do understand why people who prefer the BLNR are willing to pay more. |

Get the black bezel GMT. For that half blue bezel, you would save a few grand. Sometimes I wonder is it worth it?

How would you feel if you purchased today and they reintroduced the same color scheme with the new movement next month. Personally, I much prefer the 72 hour power reserve. Good luck!

This shortage is really ruining rolex’s service satisfaction for me.
