I give my watches around 5 winds to get the second hand going, set the date/time and then turn the crown back ever so slightly (but not enough to change the time) before pushing the crown back in. Give it another 20-25 winds and screw the crown back in. No minute hand jump when using this method.

If I just wind it 20-30 times and set the date/time with tension on the crown it will sometimes jump.

Thanks for the suggestion and this is similar things I heard as well to prevent the minute hand from jumping when push in the crown
