15400 Still on Website

Hello All,

Recently I've been flirting with the idea of obtaining the black dial 15400. I called the boutique today to inquire, and was politely informed that this model is completely discontinued. I'm just curious as to why it still appears on the AP website as part of the Royal Oak collection. Is going grey the only option at this point? Not a huge fan of any of the dial changes introduced with the 15500, nor the increased price.

Apologies if this has already been discussed here. This is my first possible foray into AP.

It will be removed soon. Probably the employee's who are uploading new models, info, pictures, ect have not got around to it yet but will be within the coming months. The boutique/AD's are stating its discontinued and replaced with the 15500 and wont be still offered for order/sale

It says "availability to be confirmed" but still hasn't been moved to the "legacy" portion of the website yet. Think a few members have gotten some recently and were told "it was the AD/Boutique's last one".

Thanks for the info! I wish I could say I that like the 15500 changes, but the shorter, fatter hour batons, pushed out date window, and new text layout just don't do it for me.

15400ST in nicer IMO. Seems like a marketing move to make minor changes and take retail price up

Looks like there are a bunch on Chrono24. However, the asking prices continue to creep up.
