My BEST duo: Daytona ceramic white + Pepsi BLRO!! What's yours?
I have recently contemplated that if I were to consolidate / trim my watch collection down to only 2 watches - which two would I end up with?
Based on my lifestyle / work, the two keepers would be my: Daytona 116500 ceramic (white) + GMT Master II 126710 BLRO Pepsi For me, these two deliver the best 1-2 punch because: -GMT for daily wear and travel needs -Daytona for daily wear and dress ocassions -both rugged and water proof -both super comfortable -both classics that will last a lifetime What’s your best 1-2 punch, if you could only have two? (PS if I needed a trio collection I would add my SD4K) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

From my current collection it would be SkyD and LVc. Once I get my hands on the DaytonaC then it'll be Daytona and SkyD.

My plan is to match your top two. I have the BLRO, but there are still five people ahead of me on the white Daytona wait list. In the meantime, my top two are the BLRO and an IWC 3777-24.

Lovely duo.
Trimmed my collection down to Patek 5164a and Daytona LN black. Makes sense to have fewer watches you actually wear regularly. |

Without a doubt, these two for me:
I could grab either with whatever I'm wearing for the day and neither would be out of place. 5712 is more elegant and understated, while the 116519LN feels sportier and more durable. |

Mine probbaly gets paired down to a explorer 1 and the 5712R
I realize i very much dislike the 6 digit cases on the subs/gmt’s. Im not sure how I feel about my daytona yet. And i cant walk around with an all gold rolex or patek... i dont like the weight and the attention. |

Love the 2 watch concept. It forces you to sharpen your focus. I like to think of a scenario where I can only take what I can carry with one watch on each wrist.
Under that scenario, it will be my 116500LN white dial on my left, and DD40 (Everose with anniversary dial) on my right. While I will miss all my other time pieces, I will have everything covered with these two. |

I have a SS DaytonaC and hope to one day add a 36mm YG DD, I think that would be my two
The ultimate rolex sports watch and the ultimate rolex dress watch. Controversial statement I know.

Fantastic duo Bruce
For me, it's the BLRO and the SD43. The BLRO for its comfort, and overall versatility. The SD43 because IMO it's the best Rolex diver in terms of overall proportions and wrist presence. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

Wg blro black dial- classic Rolex design, pm, ultimate stealth watch due to the ss model, great backstory to the revival of the classic, wg and pastel bezel colors just work.
Milgauss z-blue- least Rolex like with the crazy color combo that works, and a fun model that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Any watch with a orange lighting bolt second hand can’t be a moody, serious wis investor watch. The green sapphire is so unique in the watch world and done just right. Sunburst dial? Can never go wrong with a Rolex sunburst. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

OP I agree, perfect combo. But, in reality its like proposing which would TRF readers prefer, winning lottery ticket one or winning lottery ticket two
We all want the winning lottery ticket, but, we also know it’s irrational. If those are your watches, you improbably (on purely odds basis) got tickets 1&2 so, congrats.

I am not a big fan of the Pepsi bracelet but if it is a Rolex duo I can't argue with those two choices. Nice work. |
