Regret selling AP...
Sold a 15300 RO white face to put money towards a FPJ chrono bleu + Daytona white face delivered this year. Missing the AP within a week so now gave a deposit for a 15500. Lesson learned: don’t sell a watch you love even though you don’t wear it as much as others...

That’s very true. I can understand that. I sold few of my watches like Nautilus, aquanaut and Rolex. Regret to let them go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I once sold a 15400 silver dial thinking its duplicating my 15202. End up missing it from time to time. So I bought it back.

Right on the money! Totally regret selling the Hulk... but I made myself feel better by buying the Kermit as it’s similar and didn’t wanna feel like I was buying the same watch again. Best decision ever

I know the feeling as trying to buy the same watch twice. Miss my Speedmaster and now thinking about getting a "Speedy Tuesday" version.

At least you’re getting the 15500! Should be a nice replacement

Almost blew away my white dial 300 and so glad I did not. Nothing quite like an RO.

I understand how you feel...it was a weak moment for me. One day I’ll replace it.

Once again demonstrating that boredom is the enemy of the collector.

I go through the whole process of parting with a watch and am good with it. When gone, even though I did not wear it, I miss it and on occasion I buy it back. Such is the collecting game for me.

I know that feeling and I just try not to think about that...it would make my heart start beating faster. Just like at the moment
In the last days I have some similar feeling but not due to a stupid selling but a purchasing.....I just don´t get the right feeling with my ROO Diver. That´s life..... Now I know both sides |

i feel you. i bought and re bought the aquanut three times.
first the 5165 ( biggest regret since its proportions is the perfect size for that design) then bought a 5167 then sold it again and bought another 5167 two years ago. fortunately it was all before it became the sought after craze that started a few years ago. the part about “don’t sell it just because you don’t wear it a lot” the royal ok is very special because of its silk like taper of its bracelet on the wrist. same with how a rolex subs bracelet is a solid and robust sturdy reassuring presence. with how watch designs of AP PP getting worse by the year, the older models really are gems. when looking at the royal oak 25572 25730, once really wonders what happened to these great designs... |
