The whole Navitimer 8 range is to be renamed as Aviator 8 at Baselworld, due to much confusion and backlash against naming it a Navitimer (and I probably agree).

However I do think it is a fairly nice and elegant watch, especially compared to what have been some of Breitlings more gaudy, loud and shiny designs of years past. I don’t own one but have tried it on. It is much nicer in real life, the build quality is fantastic and it wears very nicely because of the short tapered lugs.

Really, which ones do you list as trash out of interest?

SS shortage is all bs marketing mystique. It just makes the idea of owning a SS Daytona seem more unobtainable.

People want what they can't have. If you could walk into an AD and grab a Daytona a will no one would want it.

And it is exactly the “new ownership” which is responsible for this.

For years past Breitling actually had turned their back on their history, preferring instead to churn out massive and garish fully polished watches instead of referencing their rich heritage and back catalogue of beautiful watches. But this has all changed now, under their new management.

Perhaps before you go criticising every other brand apart from Rolex, it would very much help if you were slightly more informed about them than what you appear to be.

I have to agree with this. You can see Breitling going back to their roots.
