rolex and panerai........ im worried.....

i went looking at the new panerai store on madison avenue in manhattan yesterday afternoon... the salespeople were really friendly... the store was crowded and they really were patient with me... they showed me many different models... they discount ZERO.... ZERO on all models.... im worried if i buy one i will never wear any of my rolex again.... the 44mm on a strap are soooooo comfortable... i would like to hear comments from people who own both panerai and rolex.... which brand do u wear more..... THANK YOU in advance!!!!! have a great day!!!!!

good question. I love both. I have the GMt IIC and it feels a little small for the first 5 mins after wearing a PAM. But I enjoy both equally. I just couldn't wear a smaller rolex than the GMT IIC with the super case

the nice thing about the panerai is they are mostly 44mm and 45mm... and the strap feels so comfortable.... decisions.... decisions....

I have a few watches and the panny is the only one I need to take off during the day, after a while it feels too heavy.

Well said! I have the same sentiment too. I am pampered by the 44mm size of the Panerai. But Rolex is top in quality. I wonder if Rolex comes up with some 44mm model, I think Panerai will take a plunge in sales. That's for sure I guess.

JMHO.

I have been to several Panerai GTG's and tried on dozens of models, but at the end of the day I find myself still going back to Rolex. Maybe I have just not found the right one, I really dig the base 00 & 05 models, but the AD's never seem to have them!

Variety is the spice of life! I want many other watches as well.
BP Fifty, Omega Speedy, GO Diver, and so on and so on and so on.

MY humble collection.

A couple weeks ago, my AD just got a zero in. They are the only AD in my town. Call them if you like to see if they still have it.

I still need to see a PAM in real life to see if i like them.

Is the quality (case, dial etc) as good as Rolex ???

the croc strap is more comfy then the roli's metal bands. they are both different types of watches and unique in there own sense.

Same here! MY first purchase was a PAM88 then PAM233, they are getting more wrist time than my Rolllies.
My Daytona's look too small.

To me,I have 111 and it's so much fun to change straps and buckles around.

Display case back is nice, and I love to watch it. I always forget to wear my Rolex for sometimes since 111 has arrived.

Ofcourse,Rolex is different ,both of them will give you different feeling when you have them on.

The only thing that I don't like about Panerai is I keep buying new straps instead of saving money for my next watch

I ebb and flow. But just this week I've worn watches from 36mm in my DJ to 40mm in the SD to 44mm today with the 233. Variety is not for all but works for me.
