i know how that feels. we were not a very rich family when i was a kid but one time my dad brought me a seiko divers watch he got from saudi and he told me it was automatic and it doesn't need battery. you should have seen my eyes when he told me they lit up like the fourth of july and he was explaining to me how it works. The best part of it was he had the adult size and i had the baby divers watch so we were matching. Sadly that watch is long gone it got lost after some natural disaster that happened in our place but his adult size divers we still have it after 19 years and still running strong and we share that watch. I tried to swap my 16610 with his divers he took it back and we just share it. we're both watch freaks by the way you should have seen his eyes the first time i bought a rolex.

Just an update. saw my son today who was wearing his GMT II Pepsi. Well the Pepsi insert is now BLACK and looks absolutely amazing. It's like a brand new watch. More refined, simply stunning. The red hand looks super sweet against the black dial and insert. He's over the moon.
BTW: I was talking to him about the 3186 movement so he phoned RSC gave them his serial number Z***** and was informed it was a 3185 movement and that it was bought from NZ etc etc. Very helpful info without the need to take the back off.
