Fantastic story by a true man's man- no whining; just get it done.

That really should be written out as a memoir or full on novel. It will make a fantastic read.

Thank tou for posting and keeping these great stories alive for the future to enjoy

Great watch with great provenance.
Would be great to have that story and the pics put into a photo book to keep with the watch. I'd love to own something with that type of history!

What an absolutely fabulous, well told, and thought-provoking story Haywood.

You are, as you acknowledge, privileged to have spent time listening to this gentleman's fascinating recollection of a life in a world below the water.

Thanks very much for sharing this - very much appreciated, and enjoyed.

Along with Vincent’s « Every day is vintage day » and Toomuchtalk’s « 14 watches, 27 years of collecting » threads, this is on top of the list for the best reads here on TRF. What an incredible life this man has had diving around the world. Really an unknown work for most of the people, especially saturation diving. Thanks for sharing.
Question to Haywood Re: your collection’s picture : what are the three pale dial watches on the left, third row? Milgauss?
