Why is this crown different on the DDII?

I was just looking at pictures of the DDII platinum and noticed on the crown it only had one dot under the rolex crown and my yellow gold crown has 2 dots? does this mean the yellow gold models are more water resistant than the platinum models?

Thanks Larry

Do you know how long this system has been used (the dots/bar symbols, NOT the Twin/Triplock)???

Do vintage acrylic pieces also use this system???

That's right according to the chart above. The 2 dots are for WG Twinlock.

JJ

The original poster said that they had a yellow gold twinlock with two dots. That is not consistent with the chart.
