Please talk me out of it!!!

Dear TRFers,

I am in Tokyo right now and after 50 watch stores I finally could see it in the flesh and put it on my wrist! I was blown away by this thing!! It would be first full PM timepiece...I already own a SD TT with Black Dial and a Datejust TT with champagne Dial and a GMT Master TT with Black Dial and various steel models...

Please give me good reasons, why I should not buy it!!!!

What do you say?

Thanks and br
Torsten

Zip up sweatshirt and a blazer? Sorry Sir, you're not allowed to own this watch. Move along.

It actually wears very nicely on your hand. Can't think of any reason not to get it.

For being talked out of it:
(-) You already have a TT DJ with a champagne dial, some MAY think it could be redundant to have this in the collection as well.
(-) Lots of yellow gold
(-) Price

If you would like to be talked into it:
(-) It is your wrist
(-) It is a really amazing complication that looks great in YG
(-) It did sing to you...

Either way, let us know what happens

That's funny!

Beautiful watch. It even makes you look like a player in your track suit top under your blazer!

Buy it!

YG DD would be a better choice as a more iconic Rolex. SS blue is the way to go for SKYD.

However, you should go ahead and buy it if you like it period.

I knew that someone would comment on that

I travel lightly with carry-on and it was colder than expected so no coat led me to that questionable outfit

The TT DJ is a 16013 36mm from the 80ies, so not that redundant

I a definitely very much intrigued, but the Japanese pricing is probably going to put me off...

The DD looks way too small and dainty, It does not have any appeal on me, don’t know why...

The SD with the Blue Dial I tried, too, but was not sending me warm signals, nice, but nothing more

It fits you right. Yellow gold is not for everybody, it doesn’t look good me. But WOW it is stunning in you. Get it and enjoy it

Buy it when you'l be back in NL... Price is probably similar and no worries with customs authority. I doubt it is hard to get in any part of the globe, but I am no expert in the Rolex crazyness.

Better to invest in a dress-shirt, shoes and a woman so you can ask "does this look ok" before you go out the door. OT. Not my style but you do have the wrist for it. Go for it.

That watch is beautiful. If I could afford one I'd buy it.

Sorry I am terrible at helping people not buy a Rolex.

If you like a large watch and want to go PM, then that’s the one. I would go Everose but that’s me. If you are not getting a discount on the PM, don’t buy it and look elsewhere.

You are just too young for this watch!

But you can still buy it as a gift for the “You” 20 years later

Big watch, but looks great size wise for you. Great piece, love the YG. Not sure how much time your DJ would get after that purchase. If you love it...get it!
