2nd Rolex acquisition

I currently own a Submariner Date. I am having a difficult time deciding between a Milgoose GV and Turn-O-Graph, the accountant's watch.

Milgoose pros: Anniversary edition; green crystal; rare
Turn-O-Graph pros: I am a bigtime CPA; subtle (can't get drilled by boss at work); dress watch to complement my sport Submariner Date.

Please weigh in my friends.

Get the Turn o Graph. It fits your profession. The Milgrause is for power plant workers. Everyone needs a fine dress watch like the Turn o Graph. Oh, you can use the bezel to keep track of the time on the parking meters too!

I would vote against the Mailgauss. Without the date, I would never be able to function if I was a CPA. What if you date a document incorrectly?

But in all honesty, I like the Turn-O-Graph. I think it's underrated and the red lettering looks beautiful.

Have you considered the GMT-IIC? It's a sports model, but looks great. If you want a dress model, though, you cannot go wrong with the Turn-O-Graph (or any other DateJust for that matter).

I don't care much for fluted bezels, so the Milschanpps gets my vote. I think they can be quite dressy.

My vote --> Milgoose. The green crystal is very nice!

No date is the only down side.

Mate, if I were a big time CPA - I wouldn't even think of buying a Rolex.

I'd go top shelf.

The TOG is more classy and it fits your profession as a "dress watch". I love the TOG and it may be my next.... I think the Milly is closer to another more casual watch than the TOG.

Looks like you pick the TOG over MG.

Not surprised if 2 things may happen to you after you get your new TOG:

1) You may retire your Sub soon .

2) TONS of people will check out your new baby TOG.

Plus, I've seen a lot of Rollies, most of them are Subs and DJ. I have not seen a TOG once.

Go w/ TT, black dial w/ Jubi, satisfaction is 100% guaranteed

CONs:

A) You may not like the size of the TOG since you have the Sub which is bigger.

B) When you're w/ a client, he/she may focus on your TOG instead of listening to you. I'm not kidding on this.

C) Your boss or co-worker may be jealous when they see the TOG on your wrist.

Personal note: TOG is not the Accountant Rollie. It offers Classy, Dressy & Sporty. Don't believe it, bring it to the gym & meeting then you'll see.

Pls post the report of your feeling after getting the TOG.

Good luck & take care.

I have the older style ToG, the Thunderbird and I love it. The GV is an awesome looking watch as well. I'd go for the GV but you get the one that talks to you. Don't worry what other people think. Best of luck.

Def go for the Malegoose! IMO, the ToG has an identify crisis and isn't sure whether it wants to be a Rolex sport model or a dress watch like the DJ!!

The green goose is a real eye-catcher and a good conversation piece!

Loose the goose!!

Depending on the budget, I would go for a nice Datejust on a leather strap... Datejust's are classy, simple and on a leather strap you would also have the perfect dress watch, as well as a daily wearer.

I am struggling to separate the two but:

I think I would go for the TOG for reasons already stated. Its a bit more dressy but size wise you need to try one on.

I like the MG, and its on a list of wants, but nearer the bottom than the top.

Or a real classy Datejust. - I was used to wearing a 40mm but soon got used to the 36mm.

Best of luck
