Rolex GMT Pepsi - Just in

Overall this is a great watch. I love the fact that it is thoroughly modern technically but pays homage to the older GMT models. I do however have one big problem with this watch, that I have not had as much of a problem with any other Rolex that I have owned.
Out of the box it does not fit me very well at all. I have very big hands and 8.25" wrists. With the comfort link open I can just barely get it over my hand and it is really tight on my wrist. I think for a watch this expensive it should have as many links as you need to wear it comfortably. When I bought the PRS-21 Dreadnought Voyager GMT; it had about five extra links even considering my wrist size. This is the way all watches should come to you. I have contacted my dealer and they are ordering me four extra jubilee links.

Congratulations. My wrist is 7.5 inches and my milgauss just fits me well without removing any links and easy link closed. It's tad loose but I think I can't remove any link.

Congratulations Vincent, great reference

Did the AD agree to supply them for free or did they charge you?

I have a 7” wrist and had 2 links removed on the BLRO.

Rolex GMT Pepsi - Just in

My wrist is 7.5” and when I tried mine on, i had to keep all links and let out EasyLink for a proper fit, so I was wondering what those with larger wrists would do to get it to fit.

DSSD fit great by removing diver extension and Glidelock took care of the rest.

Well the dealer is charging me. I am not sure how much they are but I have typically had to pay for them in the past. I am also getting two new links for my Seadweller 43. The SD 43/50 fits okay but I am going to remove the wetsuit extension and replace it with two regular links. I had GMT TT when they first came out with the ceramic bezel model and had to buy an extra one for it at about $400. I kept the extra link when I traded the GMT TT for a DSSD.

Stainless links are cheap. I have around an 8" wrist so I feel your pain, only the glidelock models come ready to wear.

I've usually needed 1 extra link for non-glidelocks and my AD has usually included it. PM links are a different story.

I noticed the same thing with the new Pepsi. I took delivery of the new Pepsi and a new Sub-Date about a week ago. Two links came out of the Sub and the Pepsi fit me fine with no adjustment. Seems like the Jubilee was short a couple links, but they both came out of the ADs safe still in the coffins.

If you bought new from an AD at MSRP there is nothing to complain about needing a few extra links. Be thankful you got the watch, many will not.

Noticed the same thing - I have pretty average wrists at between 7.0 and 7.25. Only need two jubilee links and often wear it with the easy link open. I was positive it was a mistake when I got the watch sized and I remember thinking that it would a right fit for anyone with even slightly bigger wrists. Agree they shouldn’t charge you for extra links for a new watch - AD should eat that cost.
