PCLs are awesome
Love the way pcl looks in real life on other people. Whenever I see it in public, it looks so cool. Lol Maybe because I am not close enough to see all the light scratches. Haha Obviously, it would not look as good on a diver or sports watch.. but might work well on the op39. Go for it.

No, I was just saying elsewhere that I find the new polished center clasps to be far less durable than the old all brushed models, its like you look at it wrong and you get a scratch on it. Can't imagine how a bracelet would look after a short while.

Just got my GMT LN brushed, looks awesome, I absolutely detest the PCLs tho I don't mind the TT version but that's a completely different beast. Don't have a pic handy to post...

I would not modify a Rolex unless the watch was available in the modified form. For instance, fitting a jubilee to a watch that was previously sold with a jubilee option. Polishing links on a non polished bracelet. No.

I am a true fan of PCLs (on the models that come with PCLs).
I wouldn't brush a PCL and I wouldn't polish a BCL.

Love them! They get scratched easier but it that easy. My Batman looks new after nearly 2 years and I use it 2-3 times a week and do not baby it either.

Well, I decided to do it and get the center links polished. Dropped it off yesterday and should have back in a week or so. I will make sure and post some pics to start the outrage

I prefer PCLs, although they show wear more than brushed. Post photos when you get your watch back!

I like both, maybe slightly prefer PCLs. PCLs add contrast to the bracelet. Sure they scratch more easily but if you’re looking at from more than say 10-15” away, they basically look mint because of the shininess and you cant see the scratches. In comparison, once the brushed section gets scratched, you can see it all the time.

On PM or TT. Something about a brushed steel oyster.

Got back from the jeweler today. I know it’s not for everyone, but I really like it. Super easy to go back to brushed, so it was worth the shot for me and I’m glad I did it!

I have two Rolex that have PCLs (milgauss and GMT) and I love them, in fact I notice more scratches on my explorer!
Nice to have some diversity in the collection as no question they look different. |

I don't like PCL's since they scratch so easily.

not a fan as it scratches easily. But it sure looks good on the YM 40.

I believe it depends on the watch/model in question.
I personally love the PCLs on my YM and think it’s fitting, same for the Milgauss, DJ, and GMT. Would it, however, suit a DSSD or Sub, no, and similarly would not like to see modifications to do so. Each to their own though so everyone has a preference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
