Congrats on the sale
Been on the PC12 a lot via Plane Sense and it's a great/safe plane, 3.5 hours will still run a new 116610 or so.
There are a few sites out there that should be able to give you estimates.

Maybe you should save a few bucks and skip out on a private plane rental for you and the cats and save for the rainy days. I realize selling a house may have brought you a windfall of sorts, but I cannot forget your thread on the struggles you had financially. Seeing that many of us including yourself, has used TRF to share good and bad experiences in life, an opinion or two from the TRF family is what we need to here sometimes to get us over those life hurdles or decisions. I really hope you do not take this the wrong way, as we are all friends here. Good luck my friend.
x2, one of the best advices I've read in this forum.

Nicholas, that was very honest.

Greg, I wish you the best.

Very happy for you Greg. I know it's been a long process but your close to closing the book on this chapter of your life. Look forward to what life is about to show you.

One suggestion for the move would be to rent a mobile home and take you and the cats on an alternate route adventure. Stop a few times along the way to take in the local food and culture.

Good Luck and let us know once your repositioned.

If this idea will win because of difficulties with health and cats then I'd participate in kind of crowdfunding for your trip Let us know here on TRF

Best wishes for your future. Hopefully, the new location will be better to you.

As an aviation lover, very jealous of your possible flight!

Congrats. My wife and I just bought a new house while selling our townhome, all while she's 7 months pregnant. Very stressful!

The only problem ive not had really is lack of money.....everything else though.
I retired in 2007 at 48 years old.....never worked since. True ive had huge gains in selling houses and condo's thats how i retired right before the real estate boom in Phoenix went boost. Plus when my wife died i got her life ins....which was not that much and her kids got other 50 percent is how she had it set.
Im going to live in an asst living "place" in Ahwatukee ....same place i lived before we moved to Cypress except it will be a two bed one bath apartment and not a house. Im trying not to take SS until im 65 or 66 but could start at 62 this Oct.

I wish you all the best. You are just 60 please stop thinking like a 85+ year old. Your best phase of life is now. Enjoy it :)

Congrats on your house sale!

Enjoy the Tempe area! We are in that area once a year to see relatives and it’s very nice. Probably less storms and flooding than Houston.

There is a pretty botanical garden between Scottsdale and Phoenix. Nice Rolex dealer in Old Town Scottsdale. Cafe Monarch in Scottsdale is really one of the best restaurants in the country. See Taliesin West by Frank Lloyd Wright in Scottsdale and the Music Museum in Phoenix. Plus Sedona and the Grand Canyon. And spring training in the spring. We went to a Cubs game. They draw fans!

Here’s to new beginnings!

Thanks....Ganem is walking distance of my new "home" off Ray road in Ahwatukee ...they dont sell new Rolex watches but new IWC and Breitlings....out of the two I prefer IWC ...never cared for the "Breitling" look.
They use to have good collection of used Rolex....hop they still do.
