Good call Seth, I had Jon killing Dany as well, couldn't be Arya as she peaked with the NK gig, and even killing Cersei didn't make sense for her as Cersei tried to stop Joffrey from killing Ned.

Ending was bittersweet as expected. Despite her ending, I did route and support Dany for many seasons so it was sad to see her go out like that, and go full Targ. I thought the part with Drogon was the best part of the ep, when he destroyed the Iron Throne, the symbol of the blind lust for power, that is Westeros and Dany's real enemy.

Jon's ending was fitting. He was the Prince that was Promised but not the King, and he never wanted it. As Ned once said, "the Wolf is of the North", and Tormund later refined to, "the true north", and that is where Jon belongs, free from the shackles of power to start a new life and family.

If it wasn't going to be these two then Bran was the best choice to rule, esp as he has no children, to break the wheel and usher in the new system of a Witan, or Council of elders/leaders, selecting the ruler and ending primogeniture and the divine right of Kings.

Ending was kind of a let down for me but no where near as bad as the ending of Lost...talk about jumping the shark. I think Cersei got off too easy but I guess that happens in real life too.

I thought the ending was OK, good in some ways, predictable in some ways, bad in some ways, but give it a 6 out of 10. But, think how difficult it is to end a series. I don’t know too many that EVERYONE said: That was great! My personal favorite is the ending of “Six Feet Under” I very much enjoyed that and felt it had completed when done. But... that’s me.

OK, I just watched a video on Youtube... I should have inserted the darn link But if you search I am sure you will find it, just a few hours old as of right now. Anyway a fan provides an alternate ending theory, the last season told a different way. WOW... it was exciting, intriguing, WAY better then the actual finale. I would recommend watching it, I got sweaty palms just watching his opinion of how it should have ended. Too bad the damm writers didn’t hire this guy before the final season... whomever he is.

Darn, now I am going to have to find the link.... BRB.

The producers should've hired that YouTuber as the writer.
