These would be winners at 40mm.

Love the white dial. IMO, The seconds hand should have an orange circle instead of black.

This would maintain the color motif across the EXP1 and EXP2 lineup.

I would buy that cream/white dial Explorer at 39mm, the mock up looks great.

That is what I expected to see at Basel this year. I had already told my AD that if this is released I want it!

I do like the white Exp, esp if it had Onyx markers.

There is a historical reference for this: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/fo...h-a-white-dial

But there was also a white air king with black 3,6,9 markers. You might try that because I have a hard time believing Rolex will ever come out with a white Explorer. But never say never, right?

Such cool concepts in this thread! The white exp1 is sickkk. The ceramic exp2 would be a major success!

The 114200 looks great but it’s only a 34mm. I’m not ready for a watch that small.

Not a fan of the black numerals. Maybe white with black surrounding, like the Exp II polar.

That would definitely scratch my itch for a white dial Rolex, & my desire for a polar 16570 could become a distant memory.

♛- Yet to be determined, but a white 16520 is on the short list. (I believe that I'll be able to read it better than my old 116520)

I still think these are the least visually appealing watches Rolex makes, utility aside. However the the Daytona with ceramic bezel was a game changer for me in liking it more, this, while better to me is still not uber appealing.

So interesting how different watches appeal to different people. Explorer and Explorer 2 are the only Rolexes I find visually appealing. Go figure.

LOL I know, right. Thats crazy how that works out. I've tried so much to accept the Explorer II visually and I seriously have not been able to. It has the right stuff in it and on it, but the looks do very little for me for its price tag, or even otherwise. The regular Explorer is a fine looking piece, but I like my Air-King more, and although I will likely purchase the regular Explorer eventually, the Explorer II just might never make it "there" for me. Some of the older Air-King models look so similar to the Explorer though, but thats of no issue to me. It's a smart looking, well sized watch that carries a subtle elegance while exuding rugged undertones.

Interestingly, I used to really dislike the Daytona visually, but the Daytona C....wow...that was something else. However, that being said the original in certain configurations has grown on me a bit. Furthermore, the stainless steel bezel looks cheap to me, as almost EVERY homage watch or wanna be sports something similar, and after polishing a few times looks a bit sub par. Ceramic on the other hand takes an overall nice watch and makes it stellar. Even the Oris Aquis and some Omega models with the Ceramic look very appealing. However I'm not fawning over Omegas sans a few models just in passing, yet the Oris Aquis in green is an inexpensive and very pleasant watch in its own right. I may even like it more than the "Hulk" in some aspects. Its certainly not a wanna be Rolex, and that I appreciate.
