I keep all of my watches wrapped in bubble wrap, taped shut, then placed in individual ammo cans with desiccant packs, which are stored in a safe, in the basement panic room.

I wear all of my watches as designed. Rolex made these watches to be tool watches and I buy them because they are known to be tough. If I wanted a watch that I have to nurture, I'd get a Patek or Lange. My sub, WG Daytona (when I had it), and current DaytonaC have seen every moment of my life. Hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, working on cars, driving race cars, working on the house, yard work, etc. They have always been accurate within a second every day and have never missed a beat.

You're safe with long sleeves. I believe he means that if scratches are a concern to someone they could wear a long sleeve shirt.

I understand your confusion. It's becoming common to see people putting question marks at the end of incomplete sentences. It can be difficult to tell if they're asking or suggesting something. I blame places like reddit for the popularity of this. They started the TLDR (too long didn't read) trend and now I think its graduated to TLWT (too long won't type)...lol!

I'm far from the grammar police but this is one thing that I notice a lot of lately.

kieselguhr, I'm not picking on you.

In 35 years, I never thought about it. I just wear it when I feel like it, or something else if I feel like something different.

As long as it's not the crystal, then I'm ok with scratches.....

I must admit that I hate any kind of scuffs, scratches or dinks. I know they're inevitable and become a part of the watch but once I see the scuff it drives me nuts.

No worries. Thanks for clarifying the “question-statement” for me

Well said. I bought a watch to enjoy it & for it to tell me the time. Scratches are unavoidable & you'll drive yourself insane trying to keep it pristine. Just like the first scratch on a motorcycle (if you're a rider), they all tell a story. (The first scratch on my XL1200CX was when I was pulled over, looking at directions on my phone with my gloves off, sneezed, and my wedding band hit the tank. A little "love tap" that I now enjoy looking at.)

Scratched up nicely (mostly desk wear and tear) got a nice ding on the underside of the case too between 8 & 9, cracked on a door handle as I strutted by. Don't really pay any attention to them. The Milgauss has gathered them at a slower rate and I alternate them each day. Probably lessons learned from the BLNR over a year have made me a bit more aware.

Beauty! That's my watch as well. For some reason the 12 o clock side (24GMT i guess) is pretty scratched up. Must be the PCL's. I've been pretty careful and was surprised to see so many already, thought perhaps I wasn't taking good enough care of the watch.

Beautiful watch isn't it.

Yep, mine too on the 12 o'clock side of the bracelet. Probably because it's the outside of the wrist. The Milgauss hasn't seemed to accrue at nearly same rate, but guess must be a little more wrist aware now. Has got a peach of a scratch on the case though, from when I dropped it as a relative passed it back to me at a family bbq. Lucky it wasn't the glass side I figure.

Wear them! And CAPE COD. It works great! Deep gouges wont disappear but they get somewhat less noticeable. Polishing can mis-shape your watch when dremels or tools are involved so I prefer to do that at Service.
