Wrong price tag at local AD

My local AD in Germany had a wrong price tag for an OP 39. First I had thought they are doing discounts now.

Wonder if I could have insisted on the deal. Anyway I informed him he changed it immo.

You getting discount on your next purchase or did it get you bumped up in the queue for a SS Daytona? I'd honestly be so cheeky to ask that.

I haven't even seen an Oyster Perpetual at any AD recently. I've seen Explorers, Air Kings, and even an Exp2 Polar, but no OP's. Found that a bit odd, really.

For me it is such a boring watch I would not have known it was cheap or wrong!

I had the chance to handle the new OP at an AD. It was surprisingly nice, and possibly something I'd consider down the road. Very understated.

+1

They're underappreciated and very versatile.

Bang for the buck, I'd take it over a Sub or GMT. That's coming from someone who has both.

I’m jealous. I am waiting on an Explorer I.

Exactly this!

In simple words, that displayed price is not an offer that you can accept and then have a deal.

Prices in shop windows are invitations to submit your offer. If the seller accepts, you have a deal.
If the seller does not accept, you have no legal stand.

That is german law, I assume that it‘s similar in most countries with a western legal system.

Here in USA, under the Sale of Goods Act, it is the same. The retailer can offer the item at the correct price or refuse your money and simply withdraw the product from sale until a correct price is displayed.
