Quite a bit of work, and clearly written.
The results seem representative for Instagram/watch blog fans (the surveyed population), but the study is very very far from representing the watch buying public (in other words, the overall market). Put another way, watch nerds and vintage collectors (the target of the survey) may prefer smaller watches, but the general public does not (as evidenced by production). The market is not wrong. |

Thank you for sharing.
Maybe the wrist sizes would increase if the sample size were taken in EU or middle America? |

Interesting survey although I wouldn't probably say market preferences are 38 primary and 40 secondary.
I'd say probably 40 and 42 as a minimum. Go to any watch store and I would guess that it's relatively hard to find watches that are 38 anymore. I was amused that men would estimate their wrist size as being small but other parts of their bodies they always believe are larger. |
