My ad
Gentlemen,
I spoke to my local AD today and needless to say they're really feeling the current economic crisis. I know a couple of guys here on the forum were able to get as much as 12% off MSRP prior to the current economic pains and of course saved on tax by having the watch shipped. Let me know if anyone is interested and send me your contact info. As you know this is a great time to buy!

I spoke with an Ad yesterday. Their 10% is nice, but when and if I show up with true intent, I'd figure out the price I want to pay based on what the list price might have been last year. Take a plain Air King, current msrp $4200. They offer $420 off. Great. $3780
Lets consider the M serial number. It might have come in last year, when the list was $3800. Less $380, should make the price $3420. Now it looks like a 19% discount. Not to beat up the AD, but now more then ever, a buyer can rationalize deeper cuts in pricing. In three years, it may be back to business as usual. |

You could have left your business card though and said if they change their mind, they can call you. Trust me, they eventually will. |

Thank you Al But The true current climate needs more than 40% for anything to move. I am selling a couple of new watches currently and I am giving 35% off MSRP ...and....nothing is moving. |
