Milgauss GV - Help me decide
I have been a member of this great forum for months but this is my first post.
I need you advice on this issue. Eight months ago i registered my name on the long waiting list for the Milgauss GV. Last month a friend of mine got the call and since he changed his mind about the watch he proposed it to me and i took it. Yesterday the AD called to say that my watch can be collected on Monday. What would you do? 1-Decline it politely or 2-Take it and think what to do about it later hoping that the GV will always be difficult to obtain like the SS Daytona. Money is not an issue and i already have a small collection of Rolex watches that i will tell you about in future posts. |

Buy it for the right reasons.
It's one of my favourites and: Not many lookalikes. Not many around every corner. Nice malamute.

Do you like it? I like it so I got them, yes, them.
It's probably, probably not going to be nearly as mass produced as other SS watches and that green crystal is just beautiful.

Did you make a deposit with your order? You could probably decline it, or keep the deposit for another Rolex.
Or you could take it, and sell it here for a great price on the forum

Welcome to this great forum
I would tell the AD that I bought one, be honest about it. Nothing wrong with that. Enjoy that great watch!

I am a watch dealer in Florida and will tell you that all the Rolex watches have come down dramatically in price from 6-9 months ago. There is NO model anymore that is selling well over the retail priceas in the past...Steel Daytonas, Green Milgauss etc... I sell the green Milgauss for just about retail , maybe $100 or $200 over, unless you were to buy it at a discount, it really isnt a great "Deal"....if you love the watch, of course buy it....but just to buy it because you think it is a great find to obtain it at retail, just is not the case anymore..good luck

All good advice. Buy it if you like it and are going to keep it.

Afraid if you want any advice from anyone then I must assume you don't really want a Milgauss GV. Otherwise you would be down at the ADs as fast as you could to pick up the watch.

If the financial situation is ok...go for it.
To my surprise the GV get as much attention (if not more) than the ss daytona. While picking up my subdate at my AD, I was surrounded with a crowd of 7 peoples admiring the GV. Althought price has plummetted, the GV isn't easy to get at AD. |

i think the GV will never be as readily available as the LV.
When the LV launched, it did not have the impact that the milgauss had on the market. i'm just happy i have one so i dont need to worry about hunting for one ever. |

Thank you guys for your answers,
Apparently the concensus says "go for it". I have finally decided to take it and think about what to do with it later on. After tomorrow another GV will join the collection. Will post pictures of the "Identical twins" as soon as i will be able to take decent pictures worth posting. |

Well, it is kind of silly to have two. They aren't even different like the White / Black SS Daytona.
BUT, I would probably do the same as you and have two of them just because. |
