What will you do??????
What will you do if somebody tells you that your genuine ROLEX is a replica? Many people, sorry most of the people don't know the difference. I will start with myself, I don't have to clarify that my ROLEX is genuine, because it does not matter for me if people know that mine is genuine or not!!!!! I wear ROLEX for myself and my self satisfaction.
Any thoughts folks?????? Thanks, Ahmed |

An AD told me mine was a replica worth about £25. I sent it to Rolex who provided all the paperwork free of charge to prove it was real. Funnily enough I have not been in the AD's since and not recommended them to anybody.
Rolex are fully aware of how I feel about the AD and the dealer I bought the watch off is none to pleased either. Court action was in the offing. An everyday occurrence I ignore it, but when someone who is supposed to know about watches. I check it out Si |

If I'm in a business situation, I tell them their right and "With what I make on you, I can't afford a real one".
If it's a social setting, I say "You're really good. How can you tell?" and then let them make an ass out of themselves explaining why it's not real! In the end, my watches are worn for me and I couldn't care less what was said or thought by anyone else.

I would say nothing.
Sometimes silence is the very best answer and adds mystery to the conversation.

Being told your Rolex is a fake is part of Rolex ownership.
Get used to it and move on. |

Did you know that owners of Fakes, know more about real Rolex than owners of real ones? I bet the average Rolex owner does not join an informative Forum like this one, thus they are not very knowledgeable even about their own make and model.
Fake owners, however, being so conscientious about the possibility of being "called out" on their fake one, always has to be on the lookout of Rolex owners. That's why they are always looking out for people wearing Rolex. |

Can't think anyone has ever commented on mine either way in over 12 years of wearing one. I must not get out much.

I would simply consider the source and forget about it.

When you wear a Rolex - nobody can tell you it's a fake.

Do you really care what others think? I would venture to say a rolex is not uncommon and their status means little due to credit cards. There was a recent thread with a poll regarding annual income. I never saw the final tally but it was clear that a rolex did not mean you were wealthy.

I only discuss my Explorer with close friends and the occasional Rolex owner.
It doesn't matter what others think. |

I've never had anyone try to tell me mine is fake. I can't imagine what I would say. I guess it would depend on who said it and what the situation is.
I do get asked all the time if my pearls are real. I usually laugh and say "Jeannie don't do fake." Maybe that would work for the Rolex too. Actually, strangers don't usually notice it and all my friends already know it's real so I doubt the situation would arise. Jeannie |
