I'm pretty partial to many white dial watches and while I do prefer the white dial for the current Explorer II and Daytona models, the Milgauss I'm more like torn in the middle. I don't have a definite choice of preference but my initial impression was that I did like the black dial a little bit better. I thought the orange hand looked really good with a black dial. It reminded me of the original orange hand Explorer II (1655) model in a way. And I LOVE that version of the Explorer II.

have had both and the white dial didnt look white at any time because the orange lume and reflection made it look peach colored all the time.

the black dial is amazing,, nothing better than a matte black dial and the orange accents POP

Black for me!!!! Go for the Black Mal...but if you are conscious about your time then go for the white for easy reading...If you can go for the ultimate one....Go for the GV!!!

Black and orange always go well together, it'd be the black dial for me.

Although the black dial appears to be the one to get when viewing photos of the watch, once you see the watch in person, the white dial is definitely the way to go. The black dial on the GV is fantastic but the black dial on the regular Milgauss is quite boring.

The white dial with orange sticks in my opinion is hideous

I've had a tendency to favor the black dials.
