It would be Omega, mainly vintage and I also like Seiko like chenx15. Mind you saying that I have a few different brands anyway but Rolex is at the top

Well I would like to say Patek, but I can't afford one. So my 2nd choice would have to be Omega

I love Stowa and will be purchasing 2 of their line up later in the year. I love my GMTC but also acknowledge that my pounds are also funding a big marketing budget and AD mark up. The Stowas represent the flipside of the watch making coin, offering beautifuly designed, hand finished watches direct from the watch maker.

Given that there's shysters out there who'd knowingly pay 500 GBP for an 'ultimate' rolex replica, I just don't understand why they don't spend that same money on a genuine Stowa or Sinn and support the industry rather than the parasites.

I believe that my Avatar, will give my answer away.
But in my case it will be reversed.
I.E. Patek first.

I'm still learning about watches - many of the finer brands are so expensive and i'm not even really sure what would differentiate a $9000 Daytona from a $40000 chronograph. I can certainly tell the difference between my omega chrono and my 1675 GMT movement because the GMT movement is never noticed while the omega is. However, I would imagine that the subjective comparison between Rolex movements and more expensive brands is minimal. Therefore, why the extra expense? Now I do understand watches that have more complications being more expensive, but I think that for watches with comparable capabilities, there is a ceiling effect or a point of diminishing returns in regards to amount of quality per dollar. Therefore, I am perfectly happy with my Rolex GMT, Omega Speedmaster and Seiko Black Monster.

One thing I am not happy about is the Rolex vintage service policy. Brands such as PP will stand behind their products forever, not just 35 years.

I would say Tudor and if that's too close to a Rolex then I guess I would probably say a Tag. But it's a moot point since a am a Rolex guy!

Definitely Patek.

I didn't like Patek until I tried one on, and now I see what is so great about them.

Still too young to own a Patek though. I'll give it 30 years.

Actually Rolex is not my first choice in a watch brand and truth be known, not my second or even third or . . .

For quality and value, Omega would be my first choice followed by several others "above my pay scale" such as Patek, JLC, Chopard, Brequet.

Panerai and Breitling are not among my possibilities.
