My coworker said I am crazy to wear my Daytona to work, cuz I might scratch it.
I replied he is crazy to drive his Porsche to work, cuz he might ding it.
End of story, he walked away.

I’m not sure there are many people who would fault a well-off person buying a Rolex. Even I would admit, though, having several is a little absurd. Oh well.

For my lifestyle I think that with my hard earned Monday I am free to trash them in any passion I like and love As long as I mantain my family and provide for their needs and surplus.
I frankly do not care to be that watch guy that goes to the office or to social events with a different watch on the wrist everytime. Only judges in life are family and God ( for those who believe).

Call me crazy.

I've spent half my money on women and partying. The other half I wasted!

I am 54 and have had a passion for watches since I was 16. I have knowledge of why I like them. I do remember someone wearing a Rolex told me “one day you will wear one of those”. But why I am infatuated with them escapes me. And on top of that, when I spend $10k,$20k or more on a watch, I do find myself trying to justify it because the watch on my arm is worth two or three of the cars combined passing me on the highway.

No crazier than buying a brand new $40K+ pickup truck when you could have bought a used one without the leather seats for half that. We all spend on luxuries and I agree the Rolex makes a lot more sense financially than the vast majority of the other unnecessary things out there.
