GMT Master II / Yachtmaster

Hello all, first time poster here. I've owned these two watches since the early 2000s. I believe I paid much more for the Yachtmaster.

I'm curious why the GMT seems to be more valuable now than the YM -- at least judging from eBay postings.

Is the 16710 stainless in black / red more desirable than the 16622 platinum nowadays?

Cheers, all,

Mike

Well, you made money on one and not the other. Both nice watches.

The YM was the most expensive SS watch in their professional lineup. I guess the price has a lot to do with the scarcity of the new SS GMT.

GMT is just a much more desirable model and the price reflects that.

Well worn watches and two beautiful watches at the least.
