Marks from stickers on the end links

I got my sd43 on Friday and today I noticed little stains on the end links from what seems to be left over smudge from the stickers. I tried just regular water and scrubbing with my hand but looks like it still there. Any recommendations on how to clean that off?

That looks like a greasy spot. Try Dawn.

I always wash my watches with Dawn. Tough angle to get in there with your finger. Try soaking corner of bounty with dawn and get it in there.

If it’s glue residue, baby oil or citrus oil.

Seems like it might be glue residue although it’s not sticky. I’ll probably try the dawn and bounty. Thanks

And it’s on both endlinks. The 12 o’clock side and 6 o’clock side

A few drops of blue dawn and some water. Nothing else should touch your watch, IMHO.

Could just let it wear off. I got my sub in nearly unworn condition and it was a 7 year old watch. Still had sticker glue in places. That has work off but scratches have replaced it.

Who is this Dawn you talk so fondly of

Might want to give it a cycle or two in the dishwasher, to get rid if any glue residue.

For members in the UK and much of Europe DAWN liquid is very similar to FAIRY liquid.

Both are made by Proctor & Gamble

What about tap water and soap? Does one really need an AD to clean their watch these days?

Washing up liquid is very good at removing greasy stains

If the watch is from an AD I think it is the responsibility and should be part of the service to supply it in total pristine condition.

I agree with it having to leave the store in pristine condition. But we're talking about some sticker stain, bit sad if one has to go back to a store for that, if all it needs is a good scrub...

Its just that some of the AD’s are getting away with not showing and giving the proper care and attention to detail that they should be.
I did say earlier that if the AD was close by the OP could pop in and get them to do the job properly as it should have been in the first instance

Goo Gone is *designed* specifically for this task. One or two 'swipes' and then a quick soap and water wash and you'll be in Phat City. (As the kids say.)

I wouldn’t mess with chemicals on my Rolex!!!
Take it to your AD and have them take care of it! At least it’s their responsibility of anything goes wrong!

I use dish soap with a soft tooth brush and rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip on my watches all the time and have never had an issue. The alcohol will take the stickum residue right off. Its stainless, you cant hurt it unless you are somehow using sandpaper or something.

Update. Cleaned it myself. Rubbed a little harder with sink water a little hand soap and my fingers. Came right off
